The Topaz Story Book by  Ada M. Skinner and Eleanor L. Skinner

Woodland Animals

No sound was in the woodlands

Save the squirrel's dropping shell

And the yellow leaves among the boughs,

Low rustling as they fell.

At last after watching and waiting,

Autumn, the beautiful came,

Stepping with sandals silver,

Decked with her mantle of flame.
