Since 1999 when the Baldwin Project opened its doors, it has offered hundreds of children's books to thousands of readers just like you.
Over the years our readers have sent us dozens of ideas for improvements, some suggesting titles they would like us to publish and others asking for an easy way to find out what books are suitable for what ages. One person even went so far as to suggest that we develop a way to design a custom curriculum using the books already available at the Baldwin Project.
We have taken all your suggestions to heart and are proud to announce the opening of Gateway to the Classics, which incorporates many of the suggestions you sent us, as well as some features we thought of ourselves.
When you join Gateway to the Classics, you pay a little, but you get a lot . . .
An Outstanding Collection of Books | Gateway to the Classics continues the Baldwin Project tradition of offering only the best books for children. |
New Titles | New titles are added regularly and new ebooks are featured monthly. |
Audio | Audio recordings for some of the titles allow you to listen to the story while following along in the text. |
Customizable Display | You can set the color, font, and size of type for each of your children. |
Customizable Content |
This is the feature that really sets Gateway to the
Classics apart. With the innovative toolset you
have at your disposal when you enter the
Gateway to the Classics, you can
group content in lots of different ways.
You can group books into a library, for example, or poems into a list. You can develop a curriculum plan for each of your children, selecting from the 300 curriculum blocks already prepared, or building your own curriculum blocks from the thousands of stories and poems available at Gateway to the Classics. And finally you can place the components you have created into an attractive arrangement. No other site we know of allows you this level of control—to select and arrange content to match the needs of you and your children. |
