A Fox who had never seen a Lion met one by chance, and upon first catching sight of him was frightened almost to death; the next time he happened on him he was frightened, to be sure, but not so much as before; when he saw him a third time, he plucked up courage enough to go up and speak to him.
The story teaches that familiarity makes terrible things much less frightful.
