A Wolf, clothing himself in the skin of a sheep, and getting in among the flock, had a chance to make way with a good many of them. At last the Shepherd discovered him, and, tying a rope about his neck, hung him to a tree near by, as a warning to the other wolves. Some shepherds going by, thought, at a distance, that it was a sheep hung thus, and wondered why the Shepherd should do this, but when they came near, they saw that it was a Wolf, and the Shepherd said: "I hang a Wolf when I catch him, even though he be dressed in a sheep’s skin."
